My Haiti Writing

Haiti is a very poor country in the Caribbean. It shares the island of Hispaniola with the Dominican Republic. On 12th of January 2010 there were an enormous earthquake. The earthquake killed over 200 000 people. The earthquake smashed houses and people died. Why did the earthquake cause people to die? I am going to explain why so many people died in the earthquake.

Because Haiti didn’t have good houses to live in, they got trapped in their houses when the earthquake started. The houses were not built up strong .Houses fell on people and they died. The houses were crushed because the earthquake was rumbling the ground.

The people in Haiti they didn’t have clean water to drink, Not much food to eat.
Hospitals and roads were destroyed. People were sick and sad by disease. Adult were crying and also babies. Port au prince was a very crowded city and people lived close together. Buildings
