WALT: Work collaboratively in maths

Today in my maths class we had to solve some word problems. Some of the word problems were really easy and hard but most of the questions were addition and subtraction which is really easy for me to solve.

Jack No Name 1

W.A.L.T: Make a hypothesis about the text

Last week my group and I is reading a novel about a boy with no last name. People call him Jack No Name. His quest is to go on a long journey to look for his name and family and I think Jack No Name is going to be asking his family why did they abandon him. I know that he is connected to some mystery church.

Catching Flounder

Today Point England School went down to the hard court to have an assembly about how we are going to walk down to Point England reserve near Riki Road. Then after Mr Burt gave us instruction, we sang a waiata and had a prayer to make us safe when we walk down.

Image result for FlounderAfter that we lined up in two lines and went  out the big red door through the crossing and walked until we came across another crossing we had to spread out for people to see the road and then we ran like flash to the other foot path we walked pass muddy puddles and when I look down at my shoes they were wet and grass was everywhere on my shoes.

Then I looked down at the beach and saw about 12 or less people holding a massive net to try to catch flounder for our school. We sang about two waiata's to make the flounder catcher team know that we love them and to catch as many flounder's as they can, also to bless what they are doing and to show that we can support them and that we are big happy family.

After our Waiata Mr Burt gave us some more instructions that the year 7 & 8 's will be walking down and again when we walked through the wet grass and muddy puddles my shoes were wet and had grass everywhere. And again we spread out to cross and ran to the other foot path and then we walked pass our school crossing and into class we had another assembly but only with team 5 and walked into our class ready for learning.

Summer Learning Journey - Week 3 - Day 14 - Activity 1 - 3 Rules when I become the president.

Today I am writing about:
Here in New Zealand, the prime minister of the country is the Honourable John Key. Imagine that you are Mr. Key and you have the power to create laws (rules) that all people in New Zealand would have to follow. If I (Anna) were the prime minister I would make a rule that everyone should eat lollies for breakfast. What three (3) rules would you make up if you were the prime minister? On your blog tell us what your three rules would be.

My 3 rules I would do if I was president:

1. That all schools will have chrome books.

2. We have to eat anything for breakfast.

3. Have 2 shops near a school, The two shops will be a diary and a bakery.

Summer Learning Journey - Week 3 - Day 13 - Activity 1 - Justin Beiber Songs

What I am going to write about!!

Justin Bieber is arguably one of the most famous musicians in the world right now. He has had (#) of Number 1 hits, including the songs:
Watch the three videos. After you have finished watching them, rank them from #1 (best) to #3 (worst). On your blog, list the three videos in order from best to work and tell us why you have ranked them in that order.

My first favourite song is Love Yourself because this song is about just loving yourself and who cares about what people say about you, this song is about be yourself.

My next favourite is Baby because my little sister loves that song and she always use to say Ohh ohh ohh oh DA dad which was so cute because that song makes me think of a little baby being a part of my big family <3.

My Last is Sorry, I really like this song but I love those two first but I like this song because when you want to say sorry you can just sing it like: Is it to late to say sorry.

If you want to know what the songs sound like (you probably already know what it sounds like because it came out ages ago) Click the links.

Summer Learning Journey - Week 3 - Day 12 - Activity 2 - Liv and Maddie TV Show

Today I have to write about what is my favourite television show at the moment? On your blog, tell us the name of my favourite television show and tell us, briefly, what it is about.

So my favourite television show is now Liv and Maddie it is about two twins and Liv is a singing pop star and Maddie is a sporty and fast twin. Liv always likes to dress up like Maddie one of the episodes Maddie had trouble driving and Liv didn't like the book called Werewolves and Spaceships and Maddie has read that book and Liv was an expert at driving so they switched body's. If you want some more information click this link and you could watch it Click Here.

Chile – 31 Minutos – Episode 1 [4:48 minutes]
Germany - Lowenzahn – Episode 1 [1:58 minutes]
Malaysia – Upin & Ipin – Full episode [19:25 minutes]
United Kingdom – Britain’s Got Talent – 2016 Final (Boogie Storm) [6:27 minutes]
Mexico – Maria Belen [1:35 minutes]

Australia – The Voice ~ Australia: Be

Out of these movies/shows I actually picked 2 and it is I Carly and The Voice. I like I Carly because it is so awesome and funny. I like the Voice because sometimes I judge the people singing and I love singing but not in front of people. Also one of the question is what I didn't like about the show and I would say nothing is wrong with any of the shows because the person who made spent a lot of time on that show.

I have to think about my school and what I typically do in a day. Compare it with the diary from the German student. What is similar? What is different? In your blog, tell us:

At my school we don't do German, History, Religion, English, Music well we use to, French, Physical Education and Science. We only do Art on free time. Also our first break is at 11:00 and our second break is at 1:00 and we finish school at 3:00. Also I would rather go to a New Zealand school instead of a German school because I don't understand any of the subjects that they do.
